This program was established to provide funding to community colleges for need-based tuition assistance to applicants to enable completion of continuing education certificate training programs for in-demand occupations. |
The funding is to be used to implement a simplified, streamlined, and comprehensive process, along with customized support services, to enable eligible participants to acquire effective academic and employment training to secure gainful, quality, in-state employment. PACE eligible programs should enable the target populations to: acquire and demonstrate competency in basic skills; acquire and demonstrate competency in a specified technical field; complete a specified level of postsecondary education; earn a national career readiness certificate; obtain employer-validated credentials; and secure gainful employment in high-quality, local jobs. |
This funding to be used to support Career Academies; Career and Technical Education (CTE) Programs; Entrepreneurship Education and Small Business Assistance; and General training, retraining and educational initiatives for targeted industries. |
